16.3 he last worked 3/30/24 and retired with a right front, non-displaced lateral condylar fracture (fetlock). He is currently turned out with other geldings and doing well. At this point, he will be pasture sound only. He is currently on Equiox for comfort.
Surrogate is a very sweet gelding that will melt your heart upon first meeting. He is very kind and willing. He walks nicely on a lead rope and respects his handlers. He loves to be groomed, especially on the neck, and appreciates a nice hug. Surrogate would make a nice family/companion horse to a family who would like a horse to love on and not ride. He is kind to everyone and allows anyone to work with him. He is one of the kindest horses we have ever had come through the program.
He is quiet in his stall and doesn’t bother his neighbors.
Surrogate stands well for the vet and farrier.
Through September, all listed adoption fees will be half off. Companion only horses fees will be waived.
