16 hands. He last worked in October of 2023. He retired with body soreness and sore feet. He is currently sound and working well under saddle.
Midas is a lovely fellow who has adjusted well to off track life. He brings focus and a higher energy level to his under-saddle work and will be a fantastic athletic partner for the experienced rider. He is well suited for any non speed-challenge discipline. He is weak behind and will need regular work to help him strengthen those muscles.
Midas enjoys being groomed – even curried – and spending time relaxing with his person. He crossties well and is fine with multiple people grooming and tacking him up at once.
Midas is currently turning out with 2 other geldings where he is well behaved. Care will be needed in choosing suitable gelding field companions for him, as he has strong personality.
He was gelded in May and does not have any known vices.
