16 hands. He last raced on 1/27/24. He retired sound. He did have a fractured tibia in the past but it has healed and doesn’t cause him any issues at this point. He bled his last time out but this shouldn’t affect him in a new career, however a PPE would be recommended for an athletic career. He does have a corneal scar in his left eye that will need to be watched. Mendel will need tieback surgery for a breathing issue if he is in an upper athletic career.
He was castrated on 2/23/24.
Mendel is a well-behaved boy, but he does have quite a bit of energy. He requires an intermediate and up handler/rider at this point.
Mendel is cleared to get back under saddle and into his new job. He should be able to be trained in any discipline at this time.
