16.1 hands. She last worked in December 2023 and retired with bruised condyles. She will need 3 months of turnout (April 27). If she is sound at that time, she can begin work back under saddle in any discipline.
Owen is a lovely filly with a kind demeanor. She enjoys her grooming sessions and obviously doesn’t mind the clippers. She was good for the vet and farrier. She appears to be intelligent and sensible. She is a cribber, controlled with a strap.
Owen has settled into farm life well and is respectful of her handlers. She is quiet in her stall and gets along with her neighbors. Owen is turning out with other mares and does well. She is quiet while out and gets along with her pasturemates.
Owen was well behaved for the farrier after arriving 10 minutes prior to our farm. She is also well behaved for the vet and just has a really kind and positive attitude. A very lovely filly with a lot of potential once her rehab is fully completed.
