16 plus hands. She last worked on 7/31/23 and retired with a strained XYZ ligament, left front. She is currently turning out with other mares and is doing well under saddle.
Blue Tornado is a wonderful prospect for dressage, hunter/jumper or eventing. She is a lovely mover who responds well to light aids. She is currently working on rhythm and contact at the walk, trot and canter in the arena and outside.
Blue is a sweet filly — she is respectful of her handlers, well-mannered and kind. She is good for grooming, but her race trainer mentioned she does not do well with clippers or injections. She does love a good brushing. She has settled in well to farm life. Blue stood well for the vet and farrier and we have not seen any vices. She is quiet in her stall and settles down quickly to graze. She is calm and easy going and should make a nice addition to any barn. She is suitable for any discipline.
