16 plus hands. He last worked on 9/3/22 at Ellis Park. A true war horse, he is a winner of over $390,000! River retired with left front ankle chips and arthritis. He does have slight arthritis in the right front ankle as well. We do have x-rays.
A very kind soul, River is gentle, brave and curious. An intelligent type. He is quiet in his stall. A laid-back personality, he enjoys being pet and groomed and loves peppermints.
We have not noticed any vices, and he is very respectful of his handlers. He walks nicely on a lead rope and enjoys people. He enjoys his grooming sessions and is good with clippers.
River will be a wonderful companion for other horses and his adopter. A great non riding therapy horse as well.
River will need supplements/injections to keep him going strong.
