17 hands. Alex has seen and done it all! He has been part of the Indianapolis mounted police, as well as an eventer and fox hunter, kids horse and friend to many! January 13,2022, Alex ruptured his left hind suspensory ligament in a fox hunt. He is still rehabbing but is doing well. His donor stated he would be a 1 on the temperament scale and we wholeheartedly agree.
Alex goes out with 2 ottb’s and gets along great with them. He turns out calmly and settles down quickly to graze. He is easy to groom and walks well on a lead line. He stands well for our vet and is just a lovely boy to be around.
Alex still needs time to heal but he does come with 9 laser treatments with Dr.Parks in Lexington at no cost to his adopter. Possibly, in Januray, he will be suitable for light riding and very easy trail rides. He will be perfect for a therapy program or a child/husband to ride around the farm without worry or just a lovely companion to your active horse(s). He is no longer able to have an athletic career.
