Retired with a right front complete displaced lateral condylar fracture and lateral sesamoid axial fracture. Surgery stated lag screw fixation, and that the prognosis is favorable.
As of 8/23/21, Summer Sermon has graduated to light riding and is doing great! He’s kind and easy going to handle. Summer enjoys a job and is eager to get out and about! He will be fantastic on trails as he isn’t afraid of the water and will hop right over any log. He enjoys a challenge.
He shows no vices in or out of stall. He enjoys being out in the field with his friends. He is respectful of his handlers and stands well for vet and farrier. He will make a great trail or dressage companion. He has a great personality and will be a joy to have around the barn.
He is progressing well through his rehab and is currently being ridden at the walk and trot only. He will be best suited for flatwork only due to the injury.
