16 hands. He last worked on 1/20/26 and retired sound. He did have a nondisplaced P! fracture int he left front that he raced on once he was healed. He does have arthritis in the joint. He also has some right front fetlock arthritis as well. He will be limited to flat work.
Chiff has been a well mannered gelding while with us and is a good pasture friend to his buddies. He is well mannered for both the vet and farrier and walks politely on a lead rope. He settles in quickly to graze when turned out and is quite in his stall.
Chiff was started under western tack by his race trainer earlier this spring and does well. He seems to enjoy the job and works hard for his rider. He is easy to mount/dismount from the ground. He arrived wearing his western tack and walked right off the trailer into the arena and went for a spin. No issues at all with the new arena or surroundings. Outside he was calm and kept his mind on his business.
Chiff will make a great western ride or any other flat discipline. He will not be suited for any jumping.
