16 hands. He last worked on 9/12/25 and retired with a right knee fracture that was repaired with a screw. He has been off the track since last fall and has settled in nicely to retirement.
Hero is a wonderfully kind, laid back gelding who does not seem to be too energetic. He absolutely loves his grooming and bathing sessions and barely moves a muscle while standing. Our farrier really enjoyed working on him as he stood quietly for all that needed to be done. He is quiet in his stall and when turned out. He walks very nicely on a lead rope and is quiet when he is outside. He seems to be an easy keeper and a very good future friend for someone.
