May 3, 2011: MANY THANKS to all who attended the Shenanigans Irish Grille's "Meet & Greet" with Kentucky Derby winning trainer Chip Woolley, Jr.

Chip was down to earth, friendly and approachable. He answered many race training questions and industry questions with amazing insight. For instance, if you want to know how the track is, watch the tractors. If they are bumping up and down on the front end, it is hard and choppy, but if they are smooth and not struggling to get a grip then it is a fast, smooth track. He signed countless things, including the matted and framed picture of Mine That Bird that Ed Van Meter donated to Second Stride. The owner of Shenanigan's quickly purchased it from us for a generous donation!

There were some media reps from New York that Chip invited who were pleased to learn of us, and said they would write about us there. Also in attendance were Paul McGee, Marty McGee, local owners Jack Barry and many other notables. Kathy Stim, Jean Amick and Kim Smith represented Second Stride. Second Stride supporters Barb Fulbright, Barb's son Mac, Toni Hindall and Eva Binzer also attended.
