"BEAT THE STORM" by HEART OF THE STORM (Storm Cat) bred in Indiana Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION!![]() |
Multiple winner with $53,007 in earnings. Out of a Distorted Humor mare who raced in France before being imported to the U.S. He had an eye removed as a weanling and adjusted very well. He did cross rails and cavaletti by his race owner before coming into our program. Athletic sport horse prospect for barrels, poles, contest, intense trail riding, even jumping. He's kind, good natured and likes a job.
Steady and confident, not spooky. Athletic, well balanced, smart and easy. In just a few rides he was easily cantering a lane of colored ground poles, and a small vertical cavaletti. He's currently jumping 2'3" and progressing quickly. This guy is an over-achiever who wants to work and please like no other. Very well adjusted since he lost his eye as a foal, and of course he was very successful at the tough job of racing, even with this disadvantage! There's a really good article about another racehorse with one eye named "PATCH", who is a 2017 Kentucky Derby contender! Click here for this article from KentuckyDerby.com >> |
